My request? Please fix Heather Hudson, the Experienced Sasquatch from Mutant Mayhem, to match Exiles instead of Alpha Flight, as is properly indicated in the context of this article. Of particular interest is the middle of the first main paragraph, starting with "The Experienced version. . . ."

Sasquatch / Tanaraq

Game Designer Notes:
Sasquatch has a varied history and his/her/its dial reflects that. The Rookie version is Walter Langkowski, member of Alpha Flight. He’s powerful, tough, maneuverable, and predictable, but given to tearing into someone when he loses his temper. As such, he has a combination of Speed 9 with Leap/Climb, Attack 9 with Super Strength and Blades/Claws/Fangs, Defense 16 with Invulnerability and Toughness, and Damage 3 with just a bit of Battle Fury mid-dial. His defensive powers plus his 9 clicks (8 after pushing from his first click) means he’ll be around a while. The Experienced version is Dr. Heather MacNeil-Hudson from the Exiles. She’s a doctor, so her activation click has Support. That may not be the best place to have Support, but it helps to differentiate the characters and will definitely make for an interesting medic. Her combat values are that same as the Rookie version, but she differs in that she lacks Battle Fury and Blades/Claws/Fangs, but has some Quake near the end of the dial. Finally, at 166 points, the Veteran Tanaraq is the version to beat. Definitely quite a bit more powerful than the other versions, Tanaraq starts with Speed 10 with Leap/Climb, 11 Attack with Super Strength (with some Blades/Claws/Fangs later in the dial), 17 Defense with Impervious (changing to Invulnerability and later, Toughness), Damage 4 with Battle Fury. Plus at 11 clicks of life (with no activation click) he’s a real danger.

Playtip
Sasquatch is different in that all three of his versions offer a fairly exciting range of options, although they are all based on the same thing: big (and hairy!) close combat attacks. The Rookie and Experienced versions both have activation clicks, but offer the astute player something different. The Rookie is a solid frontline attacker for smaller games, giving you Leap/Climb coupled with the Avengers Team Ability for some nice free movement. Mid-dial, he switches from Super Strength to Blades/Claws/Fangs, which will give an unsuspecting opponent a nice surprise as Dr. Langkowski tears into their figures.

The white Experienced version (not pictured) starts with Support on its pre-activation click, but doesn't really shine until mid-dial, when Quake replaces Super Strength. The Veteran Version - named Tanaraq after the Great Beast that inhabits him - is pure fighting fury; there's no activation click to worry about. Just run him into the middle of the action, and let the Super Strength - again switching to Blades/Claws/Fangs mid-dial - take care of the rest. Impervious protects him from attack, and his 11-click dial stays healthy on the offensive end long after he's cleaned house. At 166 points, Tanaraq does much better on 300-point teams with some ranged backup.

Teams will be rerandomized every round. A and B team up in one round, but in the next round, A may team up with R while B teams up with L. No matter the randomizations, the pairings will ALWAYS be 1 VG and 1 animated.

Download rule IS in effect. Helps that these fighters know each other due to their previous tournaments.

My Rogue/Gambit duo used their Charming Rogues power to outwit the standard outwit of one of his figures. Could I then use the outwit to outwit yet another power? He argued no, as I was using the same game effect twice. I argued yes, as they are technically different powers and rationalizing that since the effects of a special outwit (like the new Leader's double outwit) is negated after losing it, only to gain standard outwit, then I gained a totally separate power with similar effects. As always, the power is described below:

CHARMING ROGUES: Gambit / Rogue can use Outwit targeting only adjacent characters. First up, Punisher and Punishette. Rachel Cole-Alves is pretty awesome, so if you're not reading the current Punisher book, you really should. I debating making her a while back, but then thought she wouldn't be around long enough, then I changed my mind looking at September solicits. So here she is.


Next is a bit-of-a-blurry New Mutants. Technically, Cannonball shouldn't be there these days, but with a different Cannonball figure sitting with Wolverine and the other teachers, I figured he can stay there. The uniforms look nice together.


I'm a big fan of the cosmic characters, and the debut of Guardians of the Galaxy in animation over in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest, made me go back and reread the Annihilation stories. I then had to pad out the Cosmic figures, with a Captain Universe, Deathcry, Wraith and Super Skrull, as well as making a Ikon for the Annihilators, and giving some better legs to the previously-stumpy Nova.


Then we've got a wider shot. You can see a few Young Avengers, with a custom Vision #2 and some wings and a repaint on the Hulking. Then there's the Avengers Academy kids and the Defenders. Black Cat is in there because I believe she'll be turning up in comics soon enough. Along the bottom are assorted Avengers, of the New and Secret variety - including a Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel and the new Nick Fury Jr.


Then there's the mutants. A custom Nightcrawler AoA, Fantomex and Psylocke, as well as a Northstar and Polaris in the background there.


Deadpool, Bob, Agent X and regular Taskmaster there, the angle cuts off the Udon Taskmaster but we all know what he looks like.


Some more Avengers. Protector, Red Hulk, Spider Woman, Winter Soldier, Quake's head and arms stuck onto a Maria Hill body so that she's not in that ridiculous crouched pose, and a Hellstrom.


The Annihilators here as a team, with a Phoenix-Hope in the background along with a Groot.


Mutants ahoy. An unfinished Warbird [the Shi'ar bodyguard currently in WAXT and Astonishing] as well as a headless Shatterstar in the background, M and Mimic hiding behind Angel's wings.


Original wetwork X-Force. Vanisher, Elixir and a repainted Archangel.


The newer wetwork X-Force. Deadpool, Nightcrawler, Fantomex and a Deathlok repaint. As well the Utopia security team; Domino, Warpath and Vampire Jubilee.

He can use it normally or as a free action targeting a single opposing character if he has been given and will take no other free actions that turn. When he uses Incapacitate as a free action, and successfully hits a target, choose a number from 1 to 6 and roll 2d6. If the chosen number comes up on either die, Incapacitate resolves normally; if the chosen number comes up on both die, give the target 2 action tokens if it has zero action tokens.

So if i don't Outwit or perplex i can use incap as a free action? If i do that then can riddler attack or move after? (Since he wouldnt have a token) also would stunning blow work with this power? If a figure uses outwit to outwit a power and then does an action to get pushed, and gets perplex can they then use perplex too (During the same turn) I know the power they outwitted would return once outwit is gone.

And finally, (sorry for sooo many questions) pulsewave ignores all powers right? Then take flash off map so next turn i can do an attack on a weaker character having 2 damage unless i perplexed his damage to 3.
